Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is one of Africa’s most ancient and biologically diverse rainforests, located in southwestern Uganda along the edge of the Albertine Rift. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the forest is world-famous for its endangered mountain gorillas, hosting nearly half of the global population.

The forest spans rugged hills, deep valleys, and dense vegetation, creating a mystical landscape that feels untouched by time. Bwindi is estimated to be over 25,000 years old, making it one of the oldest rainforests on the continent.
