Lake Mutanda is a beautiful freshwater lake nestled in the Kisoro District of southwestern Uganda at about 1,800 m above sea level. It lies in the foothills of the Virunga Mountain Range, with views of extinct volcanoes like Mount Muhabura, Mount Sabinyo, and Mount Gahinga rising above its calm waters.
